Title says it all I have run out of books to read and money to buy new books to read. Ha ha ha.
My book is titled "When my sister was Cleopatra Moon". It is about racism, I think. Not sure, the thing behind the plot is quite cheem. There are two main characters - the elder sister, who is described to be extremely pretty and the younger sister, who is really clever but wishes to be as good-looking as her sister. I like the elder sister, she is so full of hate, so pessimistic, because to her everyone is like racist or something, and tons of females (even strangers like this nurse in the hospital) hate her because they're jealous. And there are tons of guys who like her, but she hates them, I think, cause she knows they only do because she's damn gorgeous.
But all that isn't stated very explicitly so you kind of have to figure it out for yourself, which can be quite annoying for less intelligent souls such as myself. Or you could choose not to figure it out and just read the book and still get 80% of the plot. Does that even make sense? :/
Yea. So book trade, anyone? We can mail the books, or meet up or something.

I've got "The Kite Runner" but it's paperback.
Not sure if I can meet up or anything :S
All I know is that it's an awesome book.

Twilight is so damn perfect, you'll want a guy to treat you the way Edward treated Bella.
New Moon makes me cry because of the love that they had, and when it breaks, it pains the reader's heart too.
The Kite Runner shows you about the stuffs that can happen in life.
They are all good books, especially books from Jodi Picoult.
My Sister's Keeper is about a girl who's born for a reason and they reason is that she have to donate all the organs/things that her elder sister wanted, and when she's tired of it, she went to the lawyer to sue her parents.
Reading Jodi Picoult's book can improve your English, and teachers strongly recommend it.
Through Violet Eyes is very capturing.
PS/: I'm not a book worm, lol. And, my SCHOOL is queuing for Twilight and the rest of the series. LOL!

I hate Twilight actually, no offense Twilighters. I've read the book and I'm very disappointed. For all the hype it has been given the book is about as good as a well-written fan-fiction to me. I much prefer books like His Dark Materials and The Midnighters. Those stories are more.. intriguing to me. Plus The Midnighters and many other books Scott Westerfeld has written makes my brain think, which I like.

I don't really like Twilight; the first time through, it was alright. Then I read it again:
"Bella, my love, dream sweet dreams. etc. etc."
If you were a boy, would you say that to the love of your life? And Twilight Saga, well, for the better part of those massively thick books, it's about people kissing. -.- I also feel as if we don't really know the characters in-depth. We don't know Edward's personality, or any other person's, for that matter! And all we know about Bella is that she falls. A lot. So Edward can save her. -.-
That's why I prefer Harry Potter, His Dark Materials, Narnia, Classic Literature (don't ask why) etc.
No offence to Twilighters.

Maybe people read Twilight so that they can escape from reality for a while. It's just so perfect.
You can't blame them, yeah.
No wonder this book is such a bestseller. Personally, I'm not interested.

!ferris; lol I like your comments on it. I was saying the same thing in my review on twilight that we don't seem to see enough work on the characters, just a lot of edward bella edward bella edward bella edward bella edward bella .
oh well, if anyone has his dark materials or any books by scott westerfeld and sarah dessen that you don't want anymore, I'll be glad to buy them off you.

i personally think twilight is too.. superficial. the storyline isn't very strong and most of it is just boring, that's why it's classified under "teenage fiction". there are loads of better books out there. my personal opinion, don't know about you.

YES I don't really like twilight! It appeals only to those looking for a book to simply pass time with, the "i want to read, not kill a few braincells" type! edward is so... irritating, the way he goes, "haha bella, i know you're only infatuated with me. but I LOVE YOU!" and how he insists on making decisions for them.
But I can't wait for the movie

myadversity. ; D: Aw, I want to own the series, already read it a lot of times X:
Imagine how cool would it be to see the series on my bookshelf.. my bookshelf would be so honoured *_*
imho, twilight is just.. very romance-y. which is good for us teenage girls when your hormones are raging at its peak but to me, read once enough.

THEVERONICANOTE: haha i can completely relate. but I think it WAS the hype (of twilight book) that sort of makes you expect a lot from it... and when you read it and think that it's not as fabulous you feel disappointed. I read Twilight but I didn't finish new moon... stephenie's got this very nice descriptive and dreamy style of writing but the storyline bores me out quickly...
Anyway, haha, about book trading, I think it's a really cool idea! anybody else who buys/reads sweet valley twins and would like to trade with me? very childish of me, but I love the series. how about classics like vladimir nabokov's lolita?

@heroine; yeah, I agree. if it wasn't for all the twilighters who keep harping on about how I MUST!!! READ!!! TWILIGHT!!! BECAUSE!!! EDWARD!!! IS!!! SO!!! HOT!!! I probably won't be that disappointed with the lack of substance in the plot. personally I feel she's over-detailed in some areas and a total lack of description in others like about each individual character.
I have a lot of Mary-Kate & Ashley. Anyone wants? :X

@ THEVERONICANOTE, that's what I felt too. I expected a lot from the book but it turns out to be a tad too boring for me, although I've only read a few pages. Perhaps when I have the time, I will pick up the book and try to immerse myself in it. And btw, I own a lot of Olsen twins books too! Those were the primary school days. I was fond of their Two of a Kind and detective series, but I slowly broke away from it after they released a few books in new series(Sweet 16, So Little Time, etc).
I'm a fan of Dan Brown's books. I prefer his non-religious fiction stories(i.e. Deception Point, Digital Fortress). They're very intriguing and the plots that he write are intelligent and captivating.
Besides Dan Brown, Tess Gerritsen is also one of the best writers that I've found. Her stories are related to mystery/thriller and medical science. One of her latest books is The Bone Garden, and it relates to the truth about medical history, whereby resurrectionists used to exist, and that corpses were stolen for medical schools in need of bodies to study.
